- Andy and I married on September 24, 2004.We were together only one year when we decided to start a family.Our son Landon was born on October 6, 2005. Three years later we decided to try for another, on February 18, 2009 our baby girl Lanie was born.

Lanie was born on February 18, 2009! On February 21, the doctor came by and said she was perfect,that we could go home. Days went by and before we new it she was already 2 weeks old. When she was 19 days old our son Landon got the stomach bug and had to go to the hospital, when we got home my phone rang..... only to hear someone say Lanie's PKU was abnormal. As tired as I was from being with Landon and hearing something was wrong with my baby girl, I lost it. When she was 21 days old we headed to Scottishrite for a sweat test, and three hours later her results were back only to have bad news, it was positive. One positive sweat test usually indicates Cystic Fibrosis, but we had to go for one more to confirm it. We went back one week later for the second sweat test, we waited to see a doctor to find the results. My heart hit the floor when she walked in with a childrens healthcare of Atlanta bag in her hand, I knew it was true she did indeed have CF.

Creon 5 - with every feeding
Zegerid-2.5ml- every morning
Vitamax-1ml-daily
Respiratory:
CPT(Chest Physiotherapy Treatment)-
20min twice daily
Albuterol-as needed for congestion
Other:
Table Salt-1/8 teaspoon daily for
hydration
