Lanie is still doing great. She is into everything and takes NOTHING off of anybody..... little miss tough. Landon got a new puppy 2 weeks ago, her name is Maci and she is the sweetest thing. We have been going to church at Maysville Baptist and its amazing at what happens when you turn to God for everything. Lanie and Hayden are still doing GREAT as off our last visit to Atlanta. Lanie had her first chest X-ray and it came back perfect...... no mucus at all. Their cultures came back with nothing growing. Kayla and I grew up like sisters and we want nothing but the same for our babies. We pray everyday that they will find a cure for this disease, but until then we try to live our lives to the fullest. Its amazing at the features that these babies share...... they can both light up the darkest room with their warm smile. It seems like they both are always happy :) I know that if I had to pick one person to go through this journey with it would be Kayla. She is just like me in many ways and we will fight this battle till the end together. We both have the best family to go to for support and I want to thank everyone for the help, thoughts and Prayer's as we continue fighting this battle with our precious little angels. I know it seems crazy but in these last 7 months of going to church I have came to realize one thing......... I feel honored that the Lord gave Lanie to me the way she is. It may sound crazy but I feel he would never give a child to anyone with special needs unless he had full faith in them. I will stand for my baby girl and meet every need that she may ever need if it is at all possible.

Easter 2010
We had a blessed Easter, eating with family and friends, hunting eggs, but most of all watching Lanie running around not letting CF stand in her way, she is doing Great. I still struggle everyday knowing that my baby girl has an illness that can claim her life at any point. The one thing that I know is that this has made me try to be the best mom in the world, and love every minute with my kids! Lanie will go back to Scottish Rite on May 3, 2010 and she will have her first x-ray of her lungs, and we can see how she is doing overall. Lanie's doctor here gave her a great report at her 1 year old check up! She said Lanie thriving like any other 1 year old. Please continue to pray for our family as we continue to fight the battle with our baby girl. Keep fighting Lanie Bug....... WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH! God has blessed us in soooooo many way's!

THE BIRTHDAY GIRL!
Wow how time flies when you love life as much as I do! Lanie was one Feb 18, 2009, we are so blessed that she fought her battle so well for the first year of her life! She is running, talking, and is pretty much the boss. Landon and Lanie have become best friends in the last few months, and I love watching them grow together. Lanie has been doing so good lately, and we just want to say thanks for all the prayer's for our little angel. My cousins little boy Hayden also has CF so we will have a new team member for our Great Strides walk this year! I will post all the information as soon as I get it all together! Please keep praying as Lanie, Hayden and Lainey Smithson continue fighting their battle with CF. GOD is great, I know they will all do well!

Busy Busy Busy
We have had so much to do lately and not enough time in the day to do it all. Our walk was a wet mess but we somehow still made it to the end, and we met our goal of 30,000 dollars. Thanks o everyone who was a part in helping find a cure for our little angel and everyone's children who fights CF everyday. Lanie had to go for her checkup at Scottish Rite and got a great report once again. She got her flu shots and her 9 month checkup last Friday and Nancy said she was doing so good.Lanie is now pulling up and taking a few steps, talking and just getting so big. We have so much to do for the holidays and I just hope she stays healthy through all the traveling. Lanie got her vest for airway clearance and it is so much easier than doing it by hand, and she thinks it is funny when she shakes. Thanks to everyone who keeps our family in their prayers, GOD is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
